Description
Château Couat Bordeaux 2019 highlights Bordeaux’s ability to produce not only grand, age-worthy wines but also outstanding everyday bottles that offer exceptional value. The 2019 vintage has been awarded two Gold Medals at the prestigious Concours de Bordeaux and Concours de Lyon, competitions dedicated to uncovering high-quality, authentic wines that often fly under the global radar.
The wine is a classic Bordeaux blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Malbec, grown on clay and silt soils in the heart of Bordeaux. Cool fermentation and ageing in tank preserve the wine’s vibrant fruit character and fresh herbal complexity.
Aromas of black cherry and currant are complemented by notes of wild herbs and gentle spice. The palate is generous and well-balanced, offering ripe black fruit flavours, excellent intensity and length, and a fine, almost creamy texture. A subtle grip on the finish brings freshness and structure, making this an approachable yet characterful Bordeaux.
