Quinta da Calçada Lago Cerqueira Vinho Verde Rosé is a pale salmon-coloured, gently pétillant rosé from Portugal’s Vinho Verde DOC, made entirely from Vinhão grapes. Fresh and expressive, it shows bright aromas of strawberry, red cherry, citrus fruits, and a touch of raspberry, complemented by subtle floral notes and a delicate sparkle.
The palate is clean and vibrant, with lively acidity, fresh red and citrus fruit character, and a refreshing mineral finish. Light, crisp, and highly approachable, the gentle effervescence enhances its versatility and drinkability.
Production
Carefully selected grapes are de-stemmed and lightly pressed, with the juice clarified naturally by gravity settling. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks over approximately two weeks, preserving freshness and purity. The wine is then filtered and stabilised before bottling.

Founded in 1917, Calçada Wines is one of the oldest producers in the Vinho Verde region, now led by the third generation of the family. Alongside its wine heritage, the estate is also renowned for hospitality, with Casa da Calçada, a 16th-century palace converted into a luxury hotel, and home to what is considered the oldest vineyard in Vinho Verde.
