Description

Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky. It has an amber gold colour with a nose of creamy caramel and dried fruit with hints of brine, vanilla, nuts, and a touch of spice. The palate is creamy with dried fruit, sea salt, creamy caramel, hints of nuts, and a gentle spice. The finish is long and lingering with hints of dried fruit. The name Stiùireadair means Helmsman in Scots Gaelic, and it is the first Bunnahabhain release to pay homage to the Bunnahabhain Helmsman, who adorns every bottle. The Master Blender has selected first and second-fill sherry casks with the spirits of varying ages and warehouse locations to create this dram that truly exposes the coastal nature of the Bunnahabhain single malt whisky while not losing the sherry influence that everyone knows and loves in the famous 12-year-old. The Helmsman is not just an icon but a reminder of the origins, a link to the past, and a symbol of enduring appreciation of the sea by which they are surrounded.
