Parra Jimenez El Troyano Orange Wine

Orange wine is essentially a white wine that has been in contact with its skins during the fermentation process, resulting in an amber colour. Specifically, Verdejo grapes are used to make this variety, which are macerated in clay amphora and French oak vats. Pump-overs are used to extract the colour while lees aging adds complexity. The final product is a refreshing wine with aromas of peach and orange, and a savoury, persistent flavour with noticeable acidity and hints of vanilla and spice. Orange wine is an excellent pairing for a variety of foods, including aged cheese, appetizers, chicken, and salmon.
